To give us an inside look, we sat down with Scott Kennedy, the Director of Programming within the C3 Training and an integral part of its inspiring journey.
The Beginnings of C3 Training: From PT to Thriving Fitness Hub
Scott Kennedy’s journey to joining C3 Training is a story of passion, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to personal growth. Starting as a personal trainer with over 16 years of experience, Scott found himself maxed out, running 60+ sessions a week. His desire to reach more people and create a larger impact led him to the concept of functional fitness, which resonated deeply with his background in sports and football.
C3 Training officially opened its doors in February 2020, with 220 members already on board. But just six weeks later, COVID-19 hit, and like many businesses, C3 faced its biggest challenge yet. Undeterred, Scott and his team adapted quickly—renting out equipment to members, conducting online sessions, and even holding PT sessions in the park to keep the community engaged.
Despite the hurdles, C3 not only survived but thrived. The resilience and creativity demonstrated during these times have become a hallmark of the brand, contributing to its strong growth today.
"Within six weeks, we were cheering with 220 members, and then COVID hit. But we hustled, rented out equipment, did online sessions, and survived. Now, we’re thriving."
The Meaning Behind the Name
What’s in a name? For C3, it’s everything. Standing for Community, Coaching, and Care, these three pillars form the backbone of what the C3 Network stands for.

"Our growth this year has doubled our goals. Next year, with the right systems in place, who knows how far we’ll go?"
